Hemingway wrote once that that “anyone can be a fisherman in May”

I think you can be an abstract or surreal painter any time of the year.

I attended Los Angeles City College and graduated with an Associate of Arts in Architecture in 1971. Upon graduation from LACC I was accepted for enrollment at Cal Poly Pomona University School of Environmental Design for two quarters beginning in in 1972. After a brake of four years, I decided to pursue a degree in interior design at Cal State University, Northridge and graduated from CSUN In 1978 with a BA in 3 Dimensional Art.

After graduating from CSUN, I successfully passed the NCIDQ-National Council of Interior Design Qualification battery of tests and became a professional Interior Designer after joining the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Was an active member for approximately two years. Needed a safety BA.

Abstract, surreal and collage are my favorite forms of expression, oil being my medium of choice. I started painting in 2010. Never too late to start. Other than color theory, no formal training in art, drawing, nor anatomy. I paint for my own enjoyment with an occasional sale or two of my works.
